Our Time Here is Limited: What Are You Going To Do Before You Die?

The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night as I was writing a e-mail to a friend. I was responding to her statement on the sad news of Michael Jackson's passing. The Holy Spirit led me to write, that everyday we go to bed and wake up, we should praise the Lord for allowing us to see another day.

The 9 people that died in the DC Metro accident had no idea that they were not going to make it home that day. They did not have time to say good bye to their families or friends. They were not able to make peace or mend arguments/disputes or broken relationships. And we also don't know if they had a chance to repent, receive salvation and make things right with God. The same goes for the well known individuals in the media that died this week.

I pray that this word will be a reminder that we do not have much time on this earth. Please take the time to think about those you have offended and ask for their forgiveness. Also forgive those who have offended you. Reach out to those friends and family members that you have not talked to in awhile and tell them how much they mean to you. Thank God for His mercy and grace for keeping you here to fix your wrongs and make them right.

Think about the legacy you would want to leave behind for your love ones. Think about what people are going to remember you for and the impact you had on their lives while you were here. But the most important of them all is to consider if you are being a good steward of the gifts and talents God has given you. The things and people of this world will pass away but the Word of God will never end. I encourage you to tell people about God and His goodness, so that they can get in on this freedom before their time is up.

Please think about all these things and pray that the Holy Spirit leads you in the direction you should be heading before it's to late.

Matthew 24: 35-36 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only

Good Friday!!! Worthy is the Lamb

Good Friday is the day our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. Jesus was put on the cross at noon and died at 3:00pm. Between those hours please pray and thank God for what was done on the cross. Thank Him for forgiveness, victory, health, everlasting life, paying the debt for sin and death, for love, peace, grace and mercy. Also for bringing the kingdom of heaven on earth, so that we may have a relationship with Him. Praise the Lord!
My church in Maryland always plays the Passion of Christ on Good Friday. My sister and I are also going to watch it today. It is a good visual reminder of what Jesus went through in order to save us from sin and death. Below is a video of clips from the movie. Worthy is the Lamb by Hillsong is the song in the video. Please share with love ones, friends and co-workers about what Good Friday means to you.

Isaiah 53

1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. 9 And they[a] made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. 11 He shall see the labor of His soul,[b]and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
