31 Day Prayer Challenge

Hey Everyone!

I want to issue an end of year challenge! God's Word says, 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21).

There are 31 days in December and I want you to ask and think big! God says that He can do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think! So that means that your "big" is actually small in the sight of God. So go ahead and pray 31 big, humanly impossible, mind blowing prayers! One prayer for each day of December and watch God work! Go ahead and pray for that family member who you think is too far gone, pray for a child, pray for a husband or wife, pray for a job, pray for a means of funding your education, pray for funds to go on that mission trip you have been wanting to go on, pray for open doors in your life and the life of those you love, pray for deliverance! Pray big! Pray specific and more importantly pray in POWER! The verse says according to the power that works in us! That POWER is the HOLY SPIRIT! Pray away folks and I pray that God blows your mind! Also don't forget to write down your prayers so you remember what you asked for, so that God may get the GLORY! Remember the verse says to Him be glory!

Go ahead and pray and watch God work! I am praying with you! I can't wait to see and hear what God does!

We give all honor and praise to our Mighty God, who is called by many names(JEHOVAH, YAHWEH, I AM, ELOHIM, JEHOVAH-JIREH, JEHOVAH-ROPHE, JEHOVAH-NISSI, JEHOVAH-M'KADDESH, YESHUA, IMMANUEL, LORD, MASTER, ALMIGHTY.......). He is our rock, our shield, our strong tower, our rest, our healer, our provider, our protector and constant help. We lift up our hands to you and we say thank you for all your grace and mercy this year. You have kept us and never forsaken us in 2009. You were there holding our hand every step of the way. Jesus you are our brother and best friend. You took all our concerns and prayers to the Father and interceded on our behalf. You answered our prayers and you delivered us in our time of trouble.
There is no one like you. You are the Alpha and Omega, King of Kings and Lord of Lords! The whole earth bows down before you. You are our light and source of power. We could not do it without you. Thank you, thank you Jesus! We have made it another year. Thank you for allowing us to grow. Thank you for purging all the negative stuff inside of us. Thank you for letting us know you more. Thank you for the many blessings, tests, trails and tribulations in our lives; because it only brought you and you alone glory through our testimonies.
What a mighty God we serve. A God that continues to love us pass our transgressions. Thank you Lord for all you have done for us. And we pray that in this New Year you will continue to do a mighty work in us. We pray that many souls and lives will be saved in your holy and precious name. To God be the Glory. In Jesus' name. AMEN.

Go and be blessed.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Valentine's Day: Unselfish Love

We had the honor to work side by side with members of the Young Adult Ministry at our home church, Times Square Church, and other volunteers to spread love to senior citizens on Valentine's Day. Love Carolers was started by Ye-Jee and Bianca from YAM. The Lord moved their hearts to visit people that were in need and bring them hope, love and compassion. We meet at a Christian community center and made over 700 Valentine's Day cards! It was the Holy Spirit working it out and helping over 12 of us to accomplish this amazing task.

We loved every minute of it, sharing Bible verses that moved us, stories about the 3 day fast we had just completed, eating pizza, cracking jokes and talking about the goodness of God. It was great to see people our age giving up there Saturday, let alone Valentine's Day, to brighten up some one's day.

Once we completed the cards we took pictures and headed out to the senior citizens center called Isabella.

We spilt up in two groups and headed to different floors to hand out the cards and talk to some of the patients. They were so happy to see us and really liked the V-day cards. Some of us ended up praying for a woman and her daugther that I had been in a coma for 9 years. You could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in the room. After we prayed the mother said that we were angels and that her daughter squeezed her hand while we were praying.

I am so happy we did it and I hope that we will continue to do more. This really showed me how a simple act of kindness can make a difference in some one's life and bring God glory.

God will be Glorified

In the month of October, I called my cell phone company to set up a date for me to pay my bill. To my surprise the bill was over $1,100! I could not believe it. The customer service rep explained that there were roaming charges on another line that I had. I explained to the representative that the line had not been in use for 2 years. Apparently there were international roaming charges that occurred out of the country.
To make a long story short, my father and I have a family plan. The other line was for his use when he is in the states. Some how the phone was stolen and international calls were made on it for a month. I was so upset and scared about the situation.
I reported the phone stolen and spoke to a supervisor and a manager about the matter. It seemed like they did not want to adjust the charges. So, I started to pray and the manager took off $500 from the bill. I was thankful and grateful that the Lord stepped in and took care of the situation.
I received the bill for the following month and it was over $1600 because of the roaming charges from the previous month. I got so depressed and I started to wonder how I was going to deal with this situation. I don’t have a steady income and there was no way I could pay this bill. The manager that adjusted the bill the last time told me that because I reported the phone stolen very late that I would be held responsible. My sister could see I was stressed and told me that the letter was a lie and that I should laugh at it. She said God is going to show me how He will be glorified in this situation.
That night I prayed and asked the Lord for strength. I told Him that I trusted in Him and that He will deliver me from this problem. The next morning, I prayed again and read Isaiah 43:1-7. That scripture assured me that I belong to God and he will keep me through hard times. (I will go more in depth about Isaiah 43:1-7 in another post). Feeling confident and assured, I called my phone company. I spoke to a representative and explained the situation to her. Without asking me any questions, she told me that she would make a case for me about the charges. I could not believe it! It was easy and without any hassles. The rep told me that I most likely would not have to pay for any of the charges! I told her thank you and that is was a blessing. I went on to ask her if she needed prayer for anything. She told me just to lift her name up in prayer.
Three days went by and I received a text that there was an adjustment to my bill. I knew it was about the roaming charges. When I got back home from out of town, I checked my bill on line and all of the charges were gone. Hallelujah! All praise be to God! I could not believe it. God is so good and he gets all the glory! What I learned about all the situations that my sister and I have been through, while living in the city is that God always gets the glory. Nothing is to hard for God and He shows us this by delivering us from trails and tribulations. Something as small as a phone bill getting adjusted and God is glorified. He does not have to make fire come from the sky or part a red sea to reveal His glory to us. He does it everyday in our lives we just have to recognize.
