This blog is dedicated to all true Storm Riders who, through it all, proclaim the name of Jesus and reverence his word. This blog will talk about our personal walk with Christ and will also examine current events and important life lessons. We plan to update on a weekly basis but please feel free to leave comments and suggestions. We must all learn to share what we know and help each other grow in Christ. God Bless!
It is that time again, Thanksgiving!!!! It is one of my favorite holidays. It is time to eat, fellowship with loved ones and eat! This is a day our nation has given us to give thanks. But we know as believers everyday is a day to give thanks. Shower the Lord with Thanksgiving and praise because He is worthy. He saved us from sin and death. He gave us His only Son to be a sacrifice so that we may have life (John 3:16). He has given us freedom, power and authority in Christ. He has given us healing, love, peace and a sound mind (Isaiah 53:5/2 Timothy 1:7). He has given us joy, rest and forgiveness. He is the ultimate giver! He gives to us everyday! So He deserves all the thanks and all the praise everyday.
We thank you Jesus for your love and sacrifice that you have given so freely to us. You paid the ultimate price so that we would have life and have it more abundantly. You delivered us out of sin and hell. You have healed us, redeemed us, forgiven us and set us free. Thank you for keeping us, providing for us and never leaving us. Thank you for being the lover of our soul and advocate. We love you and sing praises to your Holy Name.
We give all honor and praise to our Mighty God, who is called by many names(JEHOVAH, YAHWEH, I AM, ELOHIM, JEHOVAH-JIREH, JEHOVAH-ROPHE, JEHOVAH-NISSI, JEHOVAH-M'KADDESH, YESHUA, IMMANUEL, LORD, MASTER, ALMIGHTY.......). He is our rock, our shield, our strong tower, our rest, our healer, our provider, our protector and constant help. We lift up our hands to you and we say thank you for all your grace and mercy this year. You have kept us and never forsaken us in 2009. You were there holding our hand every step of the way. Jesus you are our brother and best friend. You took all our concerns and prayers to the Father and interceded on our behalf. You answered our prayers and you delivered us in our time of trouble. There is no one like you. You are the Alpha and Omega, King of Kings and Lord of Lords! The whole earth bows down before you. You are our light and source of power. We could not do it without you. Thank you, thank you Jesus! We have made it another year. Thank you for allowing us to grow. Thank you for purging all the negative stuff inside of us. Thank you for letting us know you more. Thank you for the many blessings, tests, trails and tribulations in our lives; because it only brought you and you alone glory through our testimonies. What a mighty God we serve. A God that continues to love us pass our transgressions. Thank you Lord for all you have done for us. And we pray that in this New Year you will continue to do a mighty work in us. We pray that many souls and lives will be saved in your holy and precious name. To God be the Glory. In Jesus' name. AMEN.
We just celebrated Palm Sunday, which is one of my favorite times of the year. At my old church in Maryland they would pass out palm leafs at the beginning of the service. During praise and worship, the congregation is waving their palms in the air and dancing around. It is one of the most joyful times of the year. Ever since I can remember, hearing the passage of Jesus riding into Jerusalem touched me. I mean everyone is rejoicing and praising Jesus. His disciples are shouting out, “Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest” the book of Luke reads. (Luke 19:38) In Matthew they cry out “Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” (Matt 21:9) In the book of Mark they said, “Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest." (Mark 11:9-10) In John, they cried “Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord." (John 12:13) Could you imagine what it could have been like? Everyone is worshiping Jesus, blessing His name and laying down their palms and cloaks as he rides into Jerusalem. Don’t you think Palm Sunday should be everyday? We should be rejoicing and ushering in the second coming of our Messiah. We do not know the time nor the hour when he is coming, so everyday we should be preparing. The Holy Spirit revealed to my sister in the Luke passage, that the Pharisees wanted Jesus to stop the people from praising him. But Jesus said in verse 40, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. My sister said that even if we do not praise him the whole earth will for He has created everything. How amazing is our God! The wind and waters obey His command; the animals, the plants and the rocks know their creator. So my sister advises that we all get in on the praise party and lift up the name of Jesus. This is just the beginning because we will be worshiping and praising the Lord in Heaven! Everyday should be celebrated as Palm Sunday. For the Lord woke us up this morning and the devil is defeated. Bless the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the Highest! I found this video collage made in honor of Palm Sunday. The song is by Chris Tomlin "All Bow Down" It is very well put together. Enjoy!
