Will You Go?

Isaiah 6: 1-8
1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

When the Lord calls will you go? Will you take a step of faith and say Lord, send me; no matter what the cost? God wants our all. He wants nothing less than our devotion and obedience. We are at a critical time in the world and God wants to equip His people to do the work that He has called us to do. The Lord has been pressing upon my heart the necessity of saying, “Here am I; send me” or simply “Here am I”. “Going” is a scary thing. Sometimes God calls us to do things that seem impossible; things that are often outside of our comfort zone. But we serve an awesome God who just wants us to be willing and open to what He wants to do in us and through us.

I would like to encourage everyone to continue seeking the face of God and His kingdom. Know that at a moments notice, God will want to use you as a vessel to do His mighty work. We should learn to view God’s call not as something we dread but rather as a privilege and honor because He doesn’t have to use any of us. He does not need us like we need Him; rather He wants you to experience Him and allow you to be a partaker in His glory. He loves you that much!

Don’t dwell on what you think you can or can’t do well. Don’t think about what seems impossible. Don’t think that you are not good enough or unworthy to be used. God has cleansed you and set you apart to do a great work in you. Understand what He thinks about you; His word says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Just know that all things are possible with God and that you don’t have to do any work because He will do a perfect work in and through you. Remember, it is not about you and your capabilities; it’s about God and His capabilities. Just simply say, “Lord here I am” or “Lord, here I am send me” and He will do the rest. He is faithful to do it and wants to do it in and through you. Allow God to have His way in your life by being open and obedient. Let Him take you from glory to glory, and praise Him along the way.

Take the time to search your heart and see if you are open to the Lord’s call. If He asks you to leave a well paying job and comfortable life to go to a remote place of the world to share His word so that one soul may be saved; would you go? Are you willing to put aside the passing things of this world for God’s kingdom? If you are saying no, then ask God to give you an open heart that can receive His Word. A heart that is moved for His kingdom and people. If God could leave eternity, His most excellent dwelling place, be transformed into flesh, take on our sickness, sin and sorrow, be humiliated, spat on, scourged and crucified so that we may not taste death and receive the full penalty for our sins, what then shouldn’t we be willing to do for Him and His glory? The best way to glorify the Lord, to thank Him for saving you and for always protecting, providing and being there for you, is to simply be obedient, answer His call and walk in love. Give glory to His name everyday, by not just singing His praises but being open to what He wants to do in and through you. Be obedient and full of love. God Bless!
